configuring xf86 w/ usb mouse

I am trying to configure x using xf86config, and I have an optical usb mouse. Unfortunately, when I am prompted to enter the location of the mouse within /dev, I don't know what to put. /dev/mouse only seems to work for ps/2 and serial modems. Is there a way I can check what is connected to my /dev/usb/? Or where would a usb mouse be connected to?

Thanks

Which mouse? Post up your mouse section from your XF86Config file (it's the pointer section )

Cool

Please do not post the same thread in more than one forum. Picking the most relevant forum and posting it once there makes it easier for other members to help you and keeps the discussion all in one place.
