Are there any magazines for newbies


Are there any magazines for newbies in the uk ..?
called for example " linux pc " or "linux newbie " ,the only magazines for linux seem to be for geeks or pros .. ,like linux format
and linux magazine.

when will a newbie mag equivilent to Computeractive be in shops..??

The learning curve is steep with Linux as they say. I don't know of any "linux newbie" magazines but most linux mags I've read have articles that range from beginner to expert.

Just dive right in!

imho all the linux magazines are pretty newbie orientated, linux format and linux magazine are all kde and such... i'll flick through them in WHSmiths, but there's little indepth enough for advanced readers...

MaximumLinux published for ~ 1 year. Truly fine magazine for all levels - folded. There is a British equivalent but it costs $$ in the US.
