Could you copy the error messages you get? It'd make it easier to find out what you need to do/change/install to fix it.

the error won't just say "error 2" there will be a useful message you are not reading...

why do you just say you think you need a library???

Make sure that you have compiled Qt with thread support!

ok, you've not got qt3 installed just like the error mesage says. install it, and the qt3-devel package.

I have just a vague idea your vyeperman3001. You know, you might got an answer if you've given this log the first time instead of mambling about compiling compilers and changing posts after rude comments (http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...5&pagenumber=1)
Anyways, you do have a compiler on your system, it's not the gcc-obj as that's for object code. It's just the plain normal gcc and appearantly it has been there from the beginning.
As acid_kewpie said, install qt3.
(you will find it on your redhat cd's)
Just to be sure, install every qt and libqt file you find.
If you're absolutely sure qt is installed, try passing
./configure --with-qt-includes= --with-qt-libraries=
and after the = the directory where the qt3 include files/libraries are.
And do add your distro in your personal information, that is if you're not planning on namechanging again now
