OpenOffice wont save my work

Nothing really too serious but OpenOffice.org doesnt seem to want to save my work when im running as a user, but works fine when im running as root.

First of all i installed OOo as a user, had a few problems. So i removed it and then installed it as root. Thing work fine as root, but i still cant save as user.

Im pretty sure that this a permissions problem, so how can i set up OOo to save files as a user ?
