Depends on what you wan't, if you want Solaris 9 for Intel (x86), then you can try the "early access" version, but it costs 20 USD and "early access" is a different word for "beta". I wouldn't suggest that.

Your probably going to have a hard time finding this, even more likely free. You could probably opt to wait for the stable version of 9 when its released.
I would highly recommend going for Solaris 8 or higher if you are going
to go with solaris at all. Solaris 8 made significant improvements on
hardware usage (i.e. memory) and will run much better than solaris 7.
I have seen a machine that took 1 hour to install solaris 7 reduced
to 1/2 hour with solaris 8.
The OS makes much better use of resources and has better support
(device drivers) as well.
