Hi!
I've posted this question on Software forum but I don't know which forum is better for this question.
I have Mandrake 10.1
Do I have g++ or c++ if I have:
gcc2.96-cpp-2.96-0.83mdk
gcc-3.4.1-3mdk
gcc-cpp-3.4.1-3mdk
gcc-cpp will provide g++, gcc will provide gcc. there is no compiler actually called "c++", or at least not in common use, for c use gcc for c++ use g++
So I have g++ and c++. I ask because (I posted it before) I try to compile newest version of Kopete and when I './configure' it among others such lines
show up:
checking for g++... no
checking for c++... no
I can add whole printout of it If you want (I did it before in previous post about it)

gcc-cpp provides the C preprocessor, not the C++ compiler (although the abbreviation might suggest it, and sometimes C++ source files have the extension .cpp).
