Atheros 802.11 Toshiba A75 Mandrake 10.1 Driver Help Needed

I have installed mandrake 10.1 on my toshiba a75 laptop. Everything works great except the wireless. Its Atheros 802.11. I have read other posts similar. After I download the file from cvs what do I type to make and makefile and so on. I'm new at this and my linux book doesn't cover troubleshooting driver issues. Any help or a point in the right direction would be great. Thanks.

I did what one post told me and downloaded from cvs.sourceforge and got the madwifi drivers.
I did what was told but on the make and makefile part it tells me "Only kernel ver 2.4.x and above are supported"
"make *** [configcheck] error
