I was trying to upgrade from Core 3 to Core 4, it blew up on me. VSFTPD error and GNOME failed to load up as default. Right now I'm doing a fresh installation. Fortunately, I have a ghosted Red Hat 9 drive. By the way, I have doing the upgrade since Red Hat 9, FC2 to FC3 via ftp. It's a good idea to do a fresh installation anyway.
Dang,,I got a CRC error -system halted error message when I tried to boot Disc 1 from CD.....Whats the best way to burn it to a CD or is the d/l corrupt?

Do you have a dvd drive? I just download the DVD ISO via BT, then burnt it in Nero.

there should be an option to test the install media before doing the actual install."media check" or "media test" or something like that.if it's not listed under the f-keys advanced options, just abort the install before it dies and run the test from the menu that comes up.
I REALLY need to get my multimedia stuff back. With FC3 I used to apt-get everything I needed, I don't see an apt with FC4 anywhere, this sucks. I need MP3 support, totem-xine, ogle and mplayer, each of which were available in FC3 with apt.
Also, ZSNES sounds very staticy. That program is mandatory to work fine for me to continue using Fedora.

FC rocks!
Does anyone else have this problem. I am using a Creative Audigy 2 soundcard but I can't get it to work in FC4. Anyone have any ideas how to get this to work?
