2.4.19-lq3 kernel has been released


The third release of the -lq kernel is ready fopr download. This update includes the following patches:

O(1) scheduler
rmap-14b
all pending ReiserFS patches
grsecurity

You can download the -lq kernel from:

I would also like to thank unspawn for his help with -lq3. He helped beta test it, found a small mismerge and I think was the original one to suggest grsecurity.

I'd like to invite anyone with questions about or problems with Grsecurity to just mosey on over to the /security forum.

unSpawn is the GRsecurity expert, so ask away. Maybe we will even see some GRsecurity related glossary entries soon.

Also the BitKeeper repository has been updated to -lq3 if anyone is using it.

I have a question. I'm not too sure what this is. This is like the www.kernel.org kernel, but with extra things that you guys programmed into the kernel? or what exactly is it?

It's a pristine kernel source patched with a few extra's for better performance, enhanced security features and ReiserFS. Details are in the post that started this thread.
