Support for Turion 64 processors

Have anyone seen any plans for supporting the Turion 64 processor and it's features in upcoming kernel versions?

It has just been shown off at CeBIT in Hannover, and I am probally going to buy one of those beauties ..

Link anyone? ..

Have a nice day.

It's a rebranded AMD Athlon 64 Mobile so it should be well supported by the kernel and current gcc versions. The big question is how much the new chipsets that likely will be introduced along with it (from VIA, nvidia, AMD) differ from current ones.

I recently bought a Compaq Presario V2310, which seems to share many caracteristics of your computer; among other things, I had this scaling problem you report. I wrote a howto accessible here: http://vid.ericmartel.net/linux_on_compaq/. For the scaling problem, passing "noapic" to the kernel at boot did the trick.

Hopes this helps.

Talking copy your kernel .config

I recently bought a laptop of a similar model, and I'm mucking with the kernel sources right now trying to find the latest and greatest drivers for DMA, the SD card reader, and such. Any hints? Can you share your .config file?

Thanks!
