my RH9 linux is not connecting pilot-xfer to the usb when I try hot synching my
treo 600.
I think I must be missing out something fairly fundamental.
In my /var/log/messages, I see the system logging the USB connection when I press hotsynch on the
treo. Yet pilot-xfer does nothing except output "Time elapsed: 0:00" and that's all. Then it returns.
Code:
[root@gondor junk]# pilot-xfer -c -p /dev/ttyUSB0
Time elapsed: 0:00:00
I have tried all the other /dev/ttyUSB* and also /dev/usb/ttyUSB* too.
From googling, the only problem that I can find is that I don't have anything listed under /proc/devices
I don't know what to do about that. And otherwise I'm stumped too. My lsmod lists usb-uhci, visor and usbserial mods.
I also tried it with the version / product parameters:
Code:
/sbin/modprobe usbserial vendor=0x82d product=0x300
Can anyone help?
TIA
