Lilo - Timestamp mismatch

Hi people,

I recently got a new computer (Asus A7N8X Deluxe Nforce 2 SATA motherboard - sil 3112 SATA controller) . Ever since i've had the new machine everytime i try and install a version of Linux which uses Lilo on my SATA drive (160GB Maxtor) I get the following message after installation.

Lilo - Timestamp mismatch

I am unable to boot into Lilo at all. I installed mandrake 10.1 CE first and got this message, i then tried 10.1 OE and still got this message, i thought it might be some problem with Mandrake but then the same time happened when i tried to install Yoper 2.1-4.

I have tried to remove the MBR before installation as well but still got this message, i have also tried the noacip option and still the same.

I have managed to get Mandrake 10.1 and yoper working with Gru, in fact i now have a quad boot system (when i got the lilo messages i only had windows installed)
/windows XP
/mandrake 10.1 OE
/Fedora Core 3
/ Yoper 2-1-4

I really want to use lilo as i like it better, has anyone any ideas?
Cheers

Hi,

Just updated the bios....

Still the same thing when attempting to use Lilo .... Lilo Timestamp error !!!

Not 1 person has had any ideas about this, if i search for this in google it come up with my post!

BTW - i 'solved' it by using Grub - not really a solution more of a work around.

Has anyone any ideas where i can find out more info ???

Cheers
