Wine proble,

Hello I'm running redhat 9, and wine was running perfctly on my box, today i noticed that there was a new version of wine so I downloaded it to upgrade my wine version

so I did a rpm -Uv wine-xxx.rpm and it worked but my programs would work any more so decided to unstall wine

so i did a rpm -e winexxx.rpm and I deleted my .wine derectory as well. Just to make sure that I old version would interfere with the new one
I tried to reinstall wine again with the new file but now when i try to install a windows application I get this error.

[israel@JOEENET Programs]$ wine winmx331.exe
wine: creating configuration directory '/home/israel/.wine'...
/usr/bin/wineserver: relocation error: /usr/bin/wineserver: symbol epoll_create, version GLIBC_2.3.2 not defined in file libc.so.6 with link time reference
wine: wineprefixcreate failed while creating '/home/israel/.wine'.

Can someone help me please
Thanks

Next time, if your just upgrading with an RPM, just RPM -Uvh it and forget about it. RPM files are set to replace all files so it would upgrade just fine...

You didn't get an RPM for your specific distro version I'd imagine, though this is really a Wine problem ...
