Have you read this thread? I know it is on Suse, but Mandrake should behave somewhat similarly.

that doesnt help me at all.. the DWL-G520 is atheros based.. after much research I know the driver that I need is the MADWIFI drivers, but unfortuantely they are only downloadable from CVS.. scourgeforge has no download link to it at all, and I have no clue how to download it via CVS from a windows box.. (my linux box needs this driver for its internet access)..

CVS is a bit scary at first, but it actually isn't that hard to use. The first thing you may have to do is start a CVS repository on your machine:

cvs -d /path/to/repositorydirecotry init

Once you've done that (again, I'm not sure you have to), you can access the sourceforge CVS repository anonymously. There is a very good CVS help section at Sourceforge, but basically you just need to enter:

cvs -dserver:anonymous@cvs.sf.net:/cvsroot/madwifi checkout madwifi

That should download the madwifi project to a madwifi directory below the one you are currently using.

I created a .tar.gz of the current madwif CVS i and emailed you how to reach it if you don't want to try using cvs yourself.

Have you tried with acx100 drivers? i've got your same card, and i'm tring with these drivers, and for now, i've got only an half success, but is bettere than none .-) Airplus DWL-G520+ has ACX111 chipset, but in per 7 version and newer version of these drivers, it is supported.

if you need a site, look these:

http://acx100.sourceforge.net/matrix.html - here there are many cards, supported or not, and it is described the chipset used.

http://rhlx01.fht-esslingen.de/~andi/acx100/ - Newer driver, continuosly fixed

Hope u got succes, and if u have your own DWL-g520+ work, please post :-)

See ya

M
