Dual Booting

Yesterday I tried to install Win XP Pro along with Red Hat 7.2. the hard disk is 40 GB.I installed XP in the primary partition with NTFS format and alloted 30 GB to it.Then I installed Red Hat 7.2 in the rest of the drive.
I distributed the files like this:-
/dev/hda
start
HDA 1 end size type mount point
1 3825 30004 NTFS/HPFS

3826 3832 55 EXT 3 BOOT

3833 4798 7578 EXT 3 /
HDA 4
4799 4865 526 EXTENDED

I used GRUB in the MBR.
ADDED THE FOLLOWING LINE TO
/etc/grub.conf
title windows xp
root(hd0,0)
make active
chain loader +1
After installation I am getting only Red Hat option.XP is totally missing.Any help will be appreciated.Thanks in advance.

Make your windows xp section:

title windows xp
root(hd0,0)
make active
chain loader +1

Look like this:

title windows xp
rootnoverify=(hd0,0)
makeactive
chainloader +1

Note that there are no spaces in ' makeactive ' and ' chainloader '.

Edit c:\boot.ini to include: C:\bootsect.lin="Linux" 10. Done ! You should now have the option of booting W2K or Linux, using the W2K bootloader. I have tested this with W2K Pro and Mandrake 7.2 and it works great. Good luck.
