Fedora freezing after logout, which rpm update fixes it?

When I click the logout button (choosing either logout, shutdown, or restart), Fedora will sometimes hang. The panel bar at the bottom disappears, the mouse pointer freezes, and the keyboard doesn't respond to my commands. I think this is fixed through one of the package updates and I am trying to find out which one so I don't have to install a ton of packages from yum which I'll never need or use. Thanks for any help!

I have the same problem, but only if I use log out. It never happens with shut down or reboot.

A year ago RH told me it was a bug, I think it's to do with my hardward. I'm not aware of a fix.

I think I'm using "vesa". Will recheck. I don't have a separate card. Built in Intel 82845G/GL on Compaq Presario 8000T P4 2.26GH 512MB 533M Bus. I think that is the problem, I'm sure they will update linux in the future to solve this problem. I can live with this problem. I just only use "shut down" or "reboot" and never the "log out" button.

THANKS for the information.

Due to an unrelated screw up I found a solution to my log out problem. Just did a " new" install of FC2 with manual partitioning and formating of the drive. Log out, shut down, reboot all work correctly now. Note: Doing just an upgrade did not solve the problem.
