Boot problem with GRUB (for loading DOS)

i have made a extra boot option with GRUB
i changed grub.conf
added:
title dos
kernel /boot/memdisk
initrd /boot/98boot.img

to the bottom of the page
then i boot
i choose dos
then i see:

Booting 'dos'

root (hd0,0)
Filesystem type is ext2fs, partiton type 0x83
kernel /boot/memdisk
[linux-bzImage, setup=0x3800, size=0x0]
initrd /boot/98boot.img
[Linux-initrd @ 0x3ea8000, 0x168000 bytes]

then it hangs
does nothing
please help me.

What exactly are you trying to do?

Post the full contents of your grub.conf file and the output of

fdisk -l

also - where did you install grub to ?

you'd typically want something similar to

title Dos
root (hd0,0)
makeactive
chainloader +1

again depending on your exact scenario/setup
