No more linux downloads?

On download.com they stopped listing linux downloads. I would like to know the reason why because it is very easy to navigate and all apps were in one place. Now I have to go to multiple places to download my apps.

cnet was terrible really. Sites like sourceforge and freshmeat are way better. And by me installing Slackware packages, well, I just usually head on over to the local Slackware mirror to get the latest and greatest.

I could never find anything useful for Linux on CNET. Sourceforge and Freashmeat are way better. RPMfind.net is nice too if you are using an RPM-based distro.

I agree that cnet was a bad source for linux downloads. But however if I told someone to download something, I checked to see if it was at cnet. If it was it was really easy for those who are not computer literate. All they had to do was type in download.com and they could get what I wanted. Now if I were to tell them to download something from any other place they would probably go into a coma trying to find what I needed. That's now irrelevant because I finally got broadband. My dial up only got 26 K because our lines were bad.

Hey is rpm.pbone.net any good?
