Putty and libgmodule-1.2.so.0 error


Hi!! i have install putty package in my slackware 12.2 system and if im going to run it by typing 'putty' it returns me this error :

putty: error while loading shared libraries: libgmodule-1.2.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Any idea on what is happening ?

Hi,

You have to install glib-1.2.10-i486-3

yes but i have already installed glib2-2.16.6-i486-1 ..

I think that it will cause problems if i install and glib-1.2.10-i486-3

They are not the same. glib is used for older gtk applications.
You can have both glib and glib2 without problems
