Question Hi, TV TunerCard INTEX to be used in Fedora-7

Hi,

Encouraged after getting help for my INTEX Webcam installation in Fedora-7, I am encouraged to write this peace as well.
I use Fedora-7, and use a TV Tuner-Card, also from INTEX, which works well in XP. How to configure in Fedora?

Secondly, my speaker works well from the time of installation, but the mike is not. Why so? I can't speak and record. Why? What could be the possible error. With out disturbing anything, when working in XP, it works well.! Why so?

Hi again. This may be the card referenced here:

http://gentoo-wiki.com/HARDWARE_saa7134

(just search for INTEX on the page).

To check, run command 'dmesg' and look through the output for lines starting with 'saa7134'. If it says something like

saa7130/34: v4l2 driver version 0.2.14 loaded

then your camera may already be installed. If not try the suggestion on the web page - as root run

modprobe saa7134 card=3 tuner=14

and check dmesg output again. Once you have confirmed the driver is loaded you can try out a TV viewing application like xawtv. You might have tell xawtv which video device to use, but dmesg should have a line like

saa7134[0]: registered device video0

which shows the device in use (in this case /dev/video0).

Mic problems sounds like a mixer setting problem. Sorry - not very good on sound recording.
