I'm trying to set up Ubuntu server 7.04 on a PIII machine, for some reason my keyboard doesn't work correctly. the following keys do not work A S D F J K L ; '
Also 1 2 3 on the 10-key pad do not work. I have tested the keyboard on a different system and all of the keys work, but that system is a windows machine. the keyboard is a wal-mart cheapy
107 Key Keyboard. There is two things I believe may be causing this; 1. When I first got the system the old keyboard had water in it when I plugged it in, and I believe it may have fried my motherboards PS/2 slot (motherboard is a Asus P3v133). 2. the type of keyboard is not supported by the version of linux I'm using. If anyone knows of a patch or a setting to change to match my keyboard up, I could try that. If that doesn't work I think I have to get a new motherboard. Thanks in advance for any help I can get!
