Question Screensaver not working after apt-get install - KUBUNTU

Greetings!!
After installing EVERYTHING I could from

Code:
apt-get update
Code:
apt-get install
1- The sound volume icon dissapeared, had to get it back with

Code:
kmix
2- My Screensaver is not working.
It's configured the same way it was before installing everything, but now it just won't start. And the option "Screensaver Priority" is set to low, and I can't change it.

All help is welcome!!

Browsing through the posts I found this:

Added:
Code:
DPMS-dependent=false
to the [ScreenSaver] section of the desktoprc file, and screensavers started to work again.
Thing is, now they are ssssslow :S :S

Any ideas why??
