Problem in samba at windows machine(Folder Permission)

Dear All Great Linuxians,
Good Day,
I am using RHEL 3 and samba/squid/nis is running well at the moment.
but the problem has occured when I logged(to samba) using a account through a windows machine and there I did copy and paste some folders and files.

Now when I login using this account all the things are running well but the old files are not writable/updatable.
It is giving error that "Folder is readonly".

So now please help me to resolve this problem.and also in future directories and files this error should not come.

please guide me.

my smb.conf file is look like...

#Samba Domain Control
[global]

#;basic server settings
workgroup = itmbhilwara.org
server string = ITM_Bhilwara
socket options = TCP_NODELAY SO_SNDBUF=8192 SO_RCVBUF=8192
wins support = yes

#;PDC and master browser settings
os level = 64
preferred master = yes

max log size = 50
hosts allow = 127.0.0.1 192.168.1.0/255.255.255.0
#interfaces = eth1 192.168.1.0/255.255.255.0 127.0.0.1

#;user profiles and home directory
logon path = \\%L\profiles\%U
username map = /etc/samba/smbusers
logon script = netlogon.bat #our mount drives scripts

# ==== shares ====

[homes]
comment = Home Directories
browseable = no
writeable = yes

[profiles]
path = /home/samba/profiles
profile acls = yes
writeable = yes
browseable = no

[netlogon]
comment = Network Logon Service
path = /home/netlogon
guest ok = yes
share modes = no

[tmp]
comment = Temporary file space
path = /tmp

guest ok = yes

end of smb.conf file.

Dear Rajendra,
I need some more info from you.

What directory are the read-only files in? From your smb.conf, I'm guessing it is someone's home directory? Is that correct?

Did you experience this read-only problem when trying to access the files through a Windows client?

Was the user account on the Windows client the same one used to initially copy the files over to the samba share, or is it a different Windows account?

Finally, could you describe briefly what network shares you want to create and what sort of access users are to have to them?

Scott
