fe80::1%eth1 in resolv.conf making networking slow

I recently found that when connecting to certain routers both by wireless and wire I get the following line in /etc/resolv.conf

Quote:
fe80::1%eth1
However I don't know where it comes from but I need to comment it so the network works properly.

Any idea how what do I need to do so it does not appear in /etc/resolv.conf every time I connect to the network?

Actually no, localhost in IPv6 is ::1

The intriguing part is how does it appear there.

What software are you using for connecting to network? Are there any configuration files attached to that software somewhere. Addresses do not normally just creep into /etc/resolv.conf.

@aragorn2101

I am using Network Manager from stable 14.2. What is weird is that it only appear when I connect to certain routers. For example it appear when I connect to my home router, but not when I connect to my phone hotspot.

Do you have a clean /etc/rc.d/rc.inet1.conf?

What are you using to connect: eth0/wlan0/ath0? What would be eth1 on your system?

Check out /etc/NetworkManager/NetworkManager.conf and the different conf.d files.

Also check out any differences between files in /etc/NetworkManager/system-connections
