Wireless not working in Ubuntu 1604 64bit!


Hi guys;i installed Ubuntu 16.04 64bit on my HP CQ60 410 US and can't connect to my Wireless,interesting i had Xubuntu 1604 32bit and wireless worked great right from the start.

What is your wireless chipset? The command lspci should produce that information.

Please open a terminal and run a diagnostic script using these commands...

./wireless-info

This link says it's an Atheros. Given the age, I'm gonna guess ath5k, but unfortunately even the link doesn't really detail the device.

Thanks;Intel GM45 express,but already got it fixed,Computer software is strange sometimes,things get fixed without us knowing how, thanks anyway.

When I did tech support, we used to refer to such situations as "FM" problems. "FM," loosely translated, means "freaking magic."
