Upgrade FF in Voyager X2 HD 14.04 LTS

I'm running Voyager X2 HD 14.04 LTS and Voyager Xubuntu 16.04.
Very nice work of the French Developers!

Google translate is under the pic of the girl with the black Voyager t-shirt.

Voyager X2 is based on Debian and Ubuntu.

Code:
└─ $ ▶ cat /etc/os-release
NAME="Ubuntu"
VERSION="14.04.3 LTS, Trusty Tahr"
ID=ubuntu
ID_LIKE=debian
PRETTY_NAME="Ubuntu 14.04.3 LTS"
VERSION_ID="14.04"
HOME_URL="http://www.ubuntu.com/"
SUPPORT_URL="http://help.ubuntu.com/"
BUG_REPORT_URL="http://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/"
Voyager 16.04 is based on the same as X2.

Code:
─ $ ▶ cat /etc/os-release
NAME="Ubuntu"
VERSION="16.04.1 LTS (Xenial Xerus)"
ID=ubuntu
ID_LIKE=debian
PRETTY_NAME="Ubuntu 16.04.1 LTS"
VERSION_ID="16.04"
HOME_URL="http://www.ubuntu.com/"
SUPPORT_URL="http://help.ubuntu.com/"
BUG_REPORT_URL="http://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/"
UBUNTU_CODENAME=xenial
After a fresh install of Voyager X2 HD 14.04 Firefox is set at 40.0.3.

Would upgrading to the current version of FF generate breakage for what the developers have set for this distro's?

For some unknown reason updating the system the last 2 times didn't fully update the system and FF.

After using the Update Mgr (which I was Leary on using to begin with) instead of running the update cmd via command-line the system is now up to date. FF is now version 48.0:-
