Hello everyone.
I have been working with Ubuntu 15.04 for a few months and I'm very comfortable at it.
But since a week ago, I've been receiving the notification about upgrading to Ubuntu 15.10.
My question or questions are if really is better than the old one, if someone has tried it and widely recommends it, and so on.
Any help will be really appreciated.
Both Ubuntu 15.04 and 15.10 do not have long term support (only even numbered versions get long term support). Therefore, you can get security updates for only 9 months on each. If you want to be secure, it might be a good idea to upgrade to 15.10 (.04 means April, and .10 means October). If you want newer technology, you would want to update every six months. If, however, you prefer stability and support for many years (5 years to be exact), you would definitely want to update next year (16.04 LTS = long term support) and stick with that version for several years (doing updates whenever available of course).
I tried 15.10 and liked it a lot. I actually got back to Windows some time ago but i really felt compelled to return to Linux. Unity was (finally!) bug-free, and absolute pleasure to work with. I tried Ubuntu several times in the past, but this was for the first time i felt i could actually use it (and entrust my data to it). I never tried 15.04 so i can't compare directly but i believe you won't make a mistake upgrading - not that you have a choice, if you want to have your Ubuntu supported after January. You can wait a few months with the upgrade, though.
When I was running Ubuntu (v. 8.04 until Unity became the default desktop), every online version upgrade I did was successful (but I always backed up crucial data first because something can always go wrong).
You will have to update soon in any case as support for 15.04 ends in January, 2016 which is three months before the next LTS. You will need to either update to 15.10 before the end of support in January and then update to 16.04 LTS if you want or do a new install of Ubuntu 16.04.
FWIW, I've run 15.04 and 15.10 on the same hardware, and there is little difference. I get the impression LibO Writer pages load somewhat slower on 15.10, but that could be a matter of the different LibO release.

Would you divulge for what you intend to use Ubuntu to do? Do you need to update?
I thank to all the guys who took the time to answer my question.
Finally I have decided to wait with Ubuntu 15.04 and in April 2016 make the big upgrade to Ubuntu 16.04(LTS).
I really don't need to upgrade at this moment, it's only that I don't like to stay with older versions of any software. Besides maybe in the future upgrade there will be more nicer things to watch.
