RHEL 7.1 KDE & Hidden Wi-Fi
Hi All,
This is my first post, I wasn't sure whether to post this under KDE or RHEL. I just installed RHEL 7.1 Desktop with the KDE Desktop. The network I have to connect to at one of our community centers uses a hidden SSID. The applet 'sees' a hidden network, I click on it and it opens the network settings, I enter the info and then it goes to 'congifure network' then 'disconnected'.
I have installed gnome desktop, and it works fine in the gnome desktop environment. In the KDE environment I have had to install internet tools for linux and use iwlist to search for the network name, then KDE connects using the profile, until I logoff or hibernate.
It's really annoying. Does anyone know how to fix it, or failing that use the gnomw network manager instead of the KDE one? I've looked around a lot on that subject, but all the package names seem to have changed; apropos can't find nm-applet or knewtork packages.
Thanks in advance!
JJ
