How to start the ubuntu 14.10 in text or console mode?

I want to start the ubuntu 14.10 in none graphical mode, it should start the console or text mode directly, i know that hit the alt+ctl+f2 and upto f6 changing to the console.
But i want ubuntu should not start the graphical desktop at all.

You just have to disable the display manager, on Ubuntu you would do this with
Code:
sudo chkconfig -s lightdm off
If you use a different DM than lightdm (which is, IIRC, the default on Ubuntu) you will have to adapt that command, of course.
