Are there any decent help fora (aka "forums") for Ubuntu users? Because askubuntu.com really stinks. It's got so many rules and points and stuff. Yuck. Really inhibits communication. Before that, they had a forum that required a user to have an UbuntuOne cloud account, which I reluctantly got (wondering why the hell I couldn't just register like I do with any other forum). Then, of course, they cancelled the whole UbuntuOne cloud thing, so that forum seemed to vanish (at least, I think it vanished). I dunno. Are there any fora for Ubuntu users out there? Or should I just rely on linuxquestions.org?
Like any free resource it's good to depend on multiple because at any given time one might get more attention over another. In any case, I'm surprised to hear this from someone with your reputation and post count considering you've had a chance to acclimate with the culture at LQ. There's always ubuntu forums which is maintained by Canonical. Of course, you're always welcome to ask questions in both forums at once.
