Mounting GFS2 filesystem : invalid device path

So i set up a simple 4 node cluster where all i want to do is mount a shared filesystem on all servers at the same time

i can mount the created FS only on the node i create it, and it wont mont on the other nodes

Quote:
[root@server01 /]# lvcreate -L 50G -n lv_test vg_sas
Logical volume "lv_test" created
[root@server01 /]# mkfs -t gfs2 -p lock_dlm -t CLUSTER00:lv_test -j 4 /dev/vg_sas/lv_test
This will destroy any data on /dev/vg_sas/lv_test.
It appears to contain: symbolic link to `../dm-7'

Are you sure you want to proceed? [y/n] y

Device: /dev/vg_sas/lv_test
Blocksize: 4096
Device Size 50.00 GB (13107200 blocks)
Filesystem Size: 50.00 GB (13107198 blocks)
Journals: 4
Resource Groups: 200
Locking Protocol: "lock_dlm"
Lock Table: "CLUSTER00:lv_test"
UUID: 19369eee-48b2-c8c2-7db3-9e2524895e04

[root@server01 /]# service gfs2 start
Mounting GFS2 filesystem (/test): [ OK ]
[root@server01 /]#

Quote:
[root@server02 /]# service gfs2 start
Mounting GFS2 filesystem (/test): invalid device path "/dev/vg_sas/lv_test"
[FAILED]
[root@server2 /]#
what im missing? why other nodes cannot mount the FS?

Haven't done it myself but your message is saying it can't find the logical volume NOT that it can't find the filesystem.

To me that makes sense as the VG and LV you created are on one server.

The article here suggests you need Cluster LVM:
