CPU Temperature above threshold?

Whenever i try to install something via yum this happens, it says my cpu is too hot which is not try, it runs 30-40c I do not have lm_sensors installed

I would like to make the Kernal (i think that is wht is telling me this) stop telling me this so i can continue with installations

System configuration?
What O/S?
What kernel?
Is the kernel SMP?

i edited the syslog.conf file

here is the entire .conf file just replace yours with this one and it should work

I changed the Everbody gets emergency messages thing to what you see know, so change that section of you syslog.conf file to look like mine
and u should be fine

Wonderful solution, but should you CPU actually run hot one day then bam, you won't know about it and then you have problems.

I would deff take a 2nd look.. I ran into the same problem and just decided to kill syslogd so it would stop beeping.. Well let me tell you that was stupid... My processors are actually burning up day by day, the machine will freeze and not boot for a good hour or so. I have a new machine on the way so its pretty much whatever now but just dont be careless like I was and ignore what could be a very big problem.

I think that your computer environment isn't cool.Please verify your fans.
