This weekend I bought a logitech pocket cam (nifty little thing that slides in to my pocket and perfect for taking pictures on just a day out to Amsterdam for instance or when I go skating)
And it works quite well, with a steady hand even just as well as the much more expensive camera my bf has :-)
But I can only get it to work in Windhoze!
It's connected to the pc with a usb cable (it feeds through the usb cable as well).
Anyone know how I can get linux to read from the camera?
As I said it's the logitech pocket cam, I've searched the net for more technical info on it, but can't find it.
I did notice that linux read some info through the usb connection, i'll have to check that tonight (my current time: 14:39)
I tried that, in var/log/messages it says that it's labelled usb device 3, but then I don't know what the name of the device is that I have to mount.
lsusb does recognize the details of the cameras (manufacturer, memory etc)
According to this page it has experimental support in gphoto2, you may need to build gphoto2 from cvs to get it working though.
Have a look to see if gphoto has support for SMaL usb camera's.
