Total Newbie with Linksys WMP54G PCI

Hi, y'all. I'm a new Linux user, running SuSE 9.0, and KDE 2.1.
My kernel version is 2.4.2.1-199 default. All installed sources are the same as running kernel.
My wireless adapter is a Linksys WMP54G PCI with the Broadcom 94306 chipset.

I have ABSOLUTELY no idea what the heck I'm doing here. Can anyone walk me through setting up my wireless adapter?

BIG TIME EDIT: I downloaded DriverLoader, dug out my CD, and went through the web setup. Didn't work. Maybe i did it wrong?

EDIT OF ALL TIME: After searching this board, and the Something Awful forums (plug, plug) it seems that almost everyone is stuck at getting the driver to recognize the card. Any ideas?

Hello,

I had to use Linuxant's Driver Loader to get my Linksys wireless PCMCIA 54g card to work.

There is a free trial and only 20$ bucks to purchase. This uses the WinXP drivers to operate the card.

Here is the link
Driver Loader

Smile wireless card

Hello,

Sorry if I was confusing. DriverLoader worked wonderfully and was the only way to get my Linksys 54g card to work.

Any one not able to get a 54g card to work needs to look at DriverLoader as a solution.

Steve
