Newbie question

Hi all... I'm absolutely new to Slackware so i stuck on few things...
First of all i wonder how can i select which servicess to start at boot time?
Second is there a some sort of "control panel" to list/stop/start servicess?

you can choose which services to start at boot and which not to start by either taking the executable flag of the appropriate script in /etc/rc.d/ away, in which case the dont start automaticaly, or set the executable flag.
i.e.:
you want apache to start at boot:
`chmod a+x /etc/rc.d/rc.httpd`

you want apache _not_ to start at boot:
`chmod a-x /etc/rc.d/rc.httpd`
(theese commands have to be issued as root )
to stop a deamon, i.e. apache at runtime:
`/etc/rc.d/rc.httpd stop`
to start:
`/etc/rc.d/rc.httpd start`
and to restart
`/etc/rc.d/rc.httpd restart`

You can choose installation scripts with:

$su -c "pkgtool"

But as poison adviced, if you have a look at your /etc/rc.d/ directory you'll learn a lot!

I've tried that...
I'm asking for some GUI tool to list running daemons and select which to start at boot. Also to stop/start daemons.

Or you could try webmin if you really want something graphical (www.webmin.com)

Yep i thought about Webmin but it isn't included in the distro... so... I have to download it...
