An Easy LAMPP Distro?

I figure this is the best place to post this question:
I'm looking for the easiest LAMPP distrobution that works right out of the box as a server. Is there any distrobution that does this? I've tried Slack-Mini-Server but is there anything easier or any other distros that are similar? GUI doesn't matter.

Hi,

Look at 'LAMPWiki' or 'LAMP'.

The above links and others can be found at 'Slackware-Links'. More than just SlackwareŽ links!

There's nothing wrong with wanting things "easy" except it's like running without falling, experience without fscking up or money without having had to work for it. In your quest for "easy" you might find a project called XAMPP (apachefriends.org) formerly called LAMPP, basically a packaged web stack (the "AMP" part in LAMP). However XAMPP was never meant for production use. If you still think you should use it (OK, basically regardless what you're gonna be using) you should at least read and apply information from these documents:

http://www.apachefriends.org/en/xampp-linux.html#381
http://www.apachefriends.org/en/faq-....html#sicherer
http://robsnotebook.com/xampp-security-hardening
http://www.securityfocus.com/infocus/1694
http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.0/mis...rity_tips.html
http://www.securityfocus.com/infocus/1726
http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.5/...rivileges.html
http://www.securityfocus.com/infocus/1706
http://phpsec.org/projects/guide/
http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/op...pps/index.html

...in short setting up your favourite distro with Apache, MySQL and (Hardened-)PHP should get you there in approximately the same amount of time and as easy.
