How many of you use distros for real men

Real Men distributions are: Slackware, Arch, Gentoo, Crux, and etc.
Sissy distributions are: Redhat/fedora, the Debian gang, and especially Suse.

I for one use Slack or Arch depending on the week.

I'm a Slack user....I also use Puppy which may be considered more sissy by your definition. I think Debian should count as a real man distro though, not Ubuntu though.

Real (wo)men use (Cross) Linux from Scratch. Sissies use distros with package managers.

Really, what an insulting topic. Real (wo)men use what works best for them and don't really care what some troll thinks anyway.

And for the record, yeah, I use Cross Linux from Scratch.

Can I ask why you consider Debian to be a "sissy" distro? The same with redhat/fedora and suse. We should be encouraging people to be using linux, and letting them choose whatever works best for them. Not labeling them as sissies for using a distribution that is perhaps easier to configure. I also find this topic rather insulting, and I feel that I should not be insulted for using the distribution that suits me best.

In the united kingdom, trolling is apparently against the computer misuse act 1990. I never knew that!

I'm a proud Debian user, and I have no problems with it being called a "sissy" distro. Yeah, Debian is just too easy! Too easy to install the OS, too easy to install and maintain the software. Waaaaaay too easy to find any software package I want in the standard repositories, where someone else has already thoroughly tested it for me!

Yeah, Debian is a sissy distro. Which is why I use it.

I use Microsoft Windows XP! Where does that put me? God-like? Ha!

Yes, this thread is subjective and pointless, but that's what the general forums are for, right???

mecon better learn to wipe your own a.. yourself before posting stuff like that

The only "real man distribution" is Windows. Come on, were you not man enough to fight the battle with it to the end, were you too wussy not to be able to beat all the trouble? That's what I call a sissy runs away from the trouble, getting shelter from the safe Linux (insert your favourite-sized heart smiley here)

I use UBUNTU LINUX, because I want to waste less time getting the computer to work and more time working the computer.
But I also use DEBIAN GNU/LINUX.

What distribution someone uses is no basis for making sweeping judgements of their character.
