ACPI and ACPID services enabled creates WEIRD HDD sounds.


In order to avoid cross posting I choose to just add the link to my thread in the Mandriva forum. My problem isn't laptop/linux related, it's laptop/Mandriva related as you can read in this link. No other distro tried creates this problem with this laptop.
Please help me if you can, I would be much obliged.
