Unhappy Mandrake 9.1 Installation on an iMac

Hi Guys-
I am attempting to install Mandrake 9.1 on an old iMac I have. I dounloaded the 3 ISO's for PPC, burned the images, and put disk one in the CD drive on the Mac then rebooted holding the "c" key. Everything seemed OK. It started installing on its own and looked ok. However, now the CD drive has stopped and my screen is left on the old "blue screen with an x in the middle".
It looks identical to my Athlon box right before the desktop shows up (using Mandrake 10).
Anyway, I am sitting here waiting to be prompted to throw in disks 2 and 3 but never got the message....any ideas???

Thanks in advance,
Rob in NJ
