Erratic mouse SOLVED


The answer is NOT to disable GPM. In rc.gpm edit the lines that say:

/usr/sbin/gpm -m /dev/mouse -t ps2

to

/usr/sbin/gpm -m /dev/mouse -t imps2

Then in your XF86Config make sure in the pointers section you have something like this:

Option "Protocol" "IMPS/2"

Option "Buttons" "5"

Options "ZAxisMapping" "4 5"

The scroll will work nice and no bad behavior.
