@ Edward4m:-
Hmm. Now
this is not an issue I've ever come across, in over 6 years of using Puppy as a daily driver. Let me have a think; there's workarounds for everything with Puppy!
O-kay. Try this:-
Download this image from my Google Drive:-
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1LlB...ew?usp=sharing
This
is the Bionicpup64 'default' background wallpaper. What I've done is simply to open it in the GIMP, followed by re-exporting it as a PNG image, as opposed to a JPG image.....plus giving it a different name. I don't know why exactly, but this often works for me with recalcitrant JPG images in Puppy; exporting
from GIMP seems to allow the GIMP to 'adjust' the file's metadata so that this kind of thing doesn't re-occur.
Place this image in /usr/share/backgrounds. From the Menu, open Menu->Desktop->JWM DeskManager. Click on the first 'button', top-left corner; 'Backgrounds'. Select "BP64-1.png" as the image you want, then hit the 'Apply Wallpaper' button. Assuming you've got a save-folder set-up already, this image will then be saved for use on subsequent starts.
That
should prevent the message from re-appearing again. If it doesn't, however, it's an indication of a deeper, underlying issue.....quite possibly a bad download of the original ISO. May need re-downloading, and re-installing; not a long job for Puppy. 5 minutes, tops.
Let us know what happens, please!
Mike.
