Installing MSTT Fonts Question for Mandriva 2008.1

[Log in to get rid of this advertisement]
I am trying to install the mstt core fonts. I didn't find it in the repositories or on the DVD. I have the msttcorefonts-1.3-4.noarch.rpm. But when I try to install it, I get a "Failed dependencies: /usr/sbin/chkfontpath is needed by msttcorefonts-1.3-1.noarch".

Does anyone know of a MS TrueType font source for Mandriva 2008.1, or where I can get the chkfontpath file I need for this rpm?

Some users have reported success with the first package listed on this page:

http://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/linux/misc/su...Distro/noarch/

Alternatively, if you have MS windows installed on your machine, you can use drakfont to import the ms fonts.

Thank you for the link. I'll give it a try.

I don't have MS windows on either the desktop or laptop at home.

One possible (and simple) answer may be to install the chkfontpath package using the Software Installer or urpmi (urpmi chkfontpath).
