10.1 won't boot my SCSI disk
Hello all
I eagerly installed Mandrake 10.1 after using 9.2 successfully for about a year. I got a successful boot, but it complained that it could not find my SCSI drive, which is a problem because that's where I have my swap and /usr partitions.
I printed out copies of my lilo.conf and fstab files and made sure that the current files that 10.1 is looking at are the same, but I still can't get the SCSI to boot up.
When I use Knoppix, Knoppix can see and access my SCSI drive just fine.
The geometry is as follows:
/dev/hda5 = / (root), boot drive is /dev/hda, this is an IDE disk.
/dev/sda5 = /usr
/dev/sda6 = /var
/dev/sda7 = swap
Anyone else run into this problem? What other files should I be exploring rather than lilo.conf and /etc/fstab? I would like to get this problem solved without having to reformat and move my swap partition to my IDE drive.
Thanks in advance.
