Hi, I'm Lenka
I'm new on this forum. A little about me:
- I live in Denmark
- I have been using linux since 1995, but by no means an expert
- I have a dedicated server, which I use primary for my active forum (for mothers - yes I am one my self). It's subscription based and a do make a little money, so I need my server to be running consistently
- I get a lot of ideas for new projects and get excited and end up having 23 domain names and several half started projects and hardly any finished. Guess I need to work on my focus
- although I am used to forums, I cannot figure out how to upload my avatar here
- I have been studying computer science for 15 years (so I was a little behind schedule!) and finally got my masters in 2010. Wrote my thesis about online communities.
- while I am writing this I am considering if it's the normal procedure here and whether this forum is a community or "just a forum"
- Sometimes I might seem a bit confused

Hi and welcome to LQ. AFAIK, the avatar functionality is not enabled on LQ (nor is it needed IMHO). As to the question regarding the nature of LQ, I do not know what exactly you mean by the term community but LQ is definitely something more than just a forum. I'd say it's a community containing also smaller communities.

Thanks, and yes makes sense with the no-avatar-thingy, was just wondering
And no question in my post, just thinking aloud while typing. Thanks for the welcome!
