wireless connection doesn't stay active after reboot

I have finally been able to activate my wireless card (wlan0) and connect to the internet. But when I reboot my computer and try to re-activate wlan0 I get an error message

Quote:
Error: unrecognized wireless request "Mb/s"
Error for wireless request "Set Encode" (8B2A):
SET failed on device wlan0; Invalid arguement.

Determining IP information for wlan0.... failed; no link present. Check cable?
I get this error even though I was just connected to the internet before I rebooted?

When I check iwconfig, wlan0 is listed but my ESSID and Encryption key are off and my Access Point is 00:00:00:00:00:00. I had them set an working earlier.

I guess I'm forgettting to save the original settings I've made somewhere. Can someone help?

I guess Set Encode was for the key for my router. I didnt have it in hex form (0xXXXXXXXX). I changed that and I also ran ifconfig wlan0 up in addidtion to dhcpd wlan0 in the ndiswrapper steps. One of those changes worked as I can now access the internet on reboot. I still get the funky error msg

but i can live with that.
