Netgear WG311v3 on PCLOS '07

I'm going to need a step by step tutorial on how to get this thing working, or at least how to bring up the prompts on Live CD bootup (where it asks for your time zone and which network interfaces to configure). I've tried the guide on WifiDocs/Device/Netgear WG311v3 which didn't work. sudo ndiswrapper -i mrv8335.inf didn't do anything, and neither did trying a different driver file.

EDIT: Solved, I actually found the prompt on my own (completely by accident) and the card worked perfectly.

I actually have another question, regarding ndiswrapper. I have a Debian box (same wireless card) and I've installed all the packages from debian.org (ndiswrapper-common, utils, etc.) but in a terminal I still get a "command not found" when I test to see if ndiswrapper works. I've got matching versions for common and utils, but none of the commands (even iwconfig and ifconfig) work. They all did in Ubuntu, and I used the same packages (https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Wi...tgear_WG311_v3).

I'm new to the forum here, but am having some trouble myself with my WG311v3 Netgear card, there is no way I can hardwire until I figure it out, so I have had to halt installation which was supposed to happen today

I have burnt Ubuntu, Kubuntu and Xubuntu, also Debian netinst (realized I cannot do that) also have Fedora core which I got with my Linux for Dummies. Also the alternative installers for Ubuntu and Xubuntu as I was told I don't have enough ram (256mb).

I'm doing a full install over windows, I don't want to dual boot and I don't want windows. Everything I do online works perfect on Ubuntu.

I am just worried once I've installed I will not be able to connect. I've read how to a few times but still worried slightly about small things like do I need to download the Netgear drivers from Netgear or can I use the disk?

Yours very excited but a bit confused, TM
