I have a subscription to Steam from Valve (
http://www.steampowered.com ) and I would love to play their games in linux. Valve's stuff includes Counter-Strike, Half-Life, Death Match Classic, Team Fortress Classic, etc. However, they're all native windows applications, and Steam resides in the system tray. So I'm not sure how to get started on all this ... should I get WineX? I think that would be the best way to go but I'm not sure. It would be very cool if Steam could reside in Linux's system tray too, although I doubt that's possible within easy measures. Any advice?
Thanks!
