Talking Sid Meier's Pirates?

Does anybody know if there is a Linux clone/port/whatever of the classic game Sid Meier's Pirates!? Seeing Pirates of the Caribbean the other day made me remember how much fun I used to have with this one.

Any ideas? All of my searching have not yet yielded the treasure that I seek. AAAAR!

Uh, sorry.

If you have the original dos version, you could play it in dosbox:

Hmmm I used to have the dos version but I don't know where it went. All I can remember is that to play it, I had to use it as a boot disk.

While hunting for it yesterday I saw the same edition that I had on e-bay and it was up to $50, with 2 days left in the auction yet.

I did manage to find a game on Sourceforge called Hunt For Gold which looks like a Pirates! clone. However, it is still a work in progress.

If anyone else is interested, see: http://huntforgold.sourceforge.net/
