RPM's...

Ok, this problem just decided to pop out of nowhere... but for some reason when I go to install an RPM it tells me that it has already been installed... And this is for software that I KNOW I haven't installed prior to this... I'm using Mandrake 9.1 with kernel 2.4.21-0.18. Any help is appreciated because this is extremely annoying.

You can try the following but it could be a bit dangerous

rpm -i --force filename.rpm

Might help

Also check rpm -qa | grep -i filename to see if it is there

Thanks for the very quick responce (under two minutes). But do you have any idea how to fix the problem of it saying that it is already installed? It does it on EVERY rpm.

Ah right.. You try doing rpm --rebuilddb to see if that helps
