Hi guys.

I have a problem about pam.

My cron daemon executes a script that communicate with another host every minuate.

Because of that, an warning message is displayed every minuate.

I don't want to see those messages.

My pam.d crond configuration is like this.

How can I do?

An amount of messages makes me crazy.

Please help me.

How do you know that the messages are coming from PAM?

What are the messages?

The message is like this.

crond(pam_unix)[7981] : session opened for user root by (uid=0)
..
..
..

You should not disable those messages since they are part of your audit trail. If you look at cron logging maybe you shouldn't and use something like Logwatch to summarise and report for you instead.
